– How your ANS determines the foods you need to heal

A little science lesson for today…Dr. Nick Gonzalez believed specific nutrients and foods have specific, precise and predictable effects on the autonomic nervous system. Different people need different types of diets to balance their autonomic nervous system (ANS) and be well.

A more vegetarian (sympathetic) diet emphasizes fresh fruits and vegetables, particularly leafy greens, and contains large doses of minerals such as magnesium and potassium. Magnesium suppresses sympathetic function, while potassium stimulates parasympathetic activity.

A more carnivore (parasympathetic) diet is loaded with minerals such as phosphorous and zinc, which tend to have the opposite effect. A high-meat diet stimulates the sympathetic system and tones down parasympathetic activity. Furthermore, such a diet is loaded with sulfates and phosphates that in the body are quickly converted into free acid, which in turn stimulates the sympathetic nervous system while suppressing parasympathetic activity.

Acidosis can cause the following health issues: Cancer, hormonal issues, yeast/fungal overgrowth, mouth and stomach ulcers, dry skin, aching muscles from lactic buildup, kidney stones , tendency to get infections etc…Now a food’s acid or alkaline-forming tendency in the body has nothing to do with the actual pH of the food itself. For example, lemons are very acidic, however, the end-products they produce after digestion and assimilation are very alkaline so lemons are alkaline-forming in the body. Likewise, the meat will test alkaline before digestion but it leaves very acidic residue in the body so, like nearly all animal products, meat is very acid-forming.It is important that your daily dietary intake of food naturally acts to balance your body pH. Your body knows what it needs to be well.

In the video “You don’t have to eat vegan to heal from cancer,” when listing the types of sympathetic and paras. cancers, the sarcomas has 3 asterisks to the right of it. Please could you tell me what this means regarding sarcomas? BTW, this was a very informative video. Thank you both.

Cathie, thank you for your kind words. The asterisks are because sarcomas can be either sympathetic or parasympathetic cancers.

We have many different diets and one of our doctors would be able to prescribe one for you. We tend to recommend a more carnivore type of diet for this type of cancer.

I took the test and came out showing a Balanced/Carnovore. However, I had a Melanoma cut out on my back, Dr. Gonzales stated in one of his books that I read that if one had/has a melanoma that they must be on a red meat diet. Do I proceed with the Balanced/carnovore diet or the Red meat diet.

Melanoma is one of the few cancers where patients have a variety of different metabolic types. That said we highly recommend that anyone with a serious diagnosis meet with one of our Doctors and have a customized protocol developed for them.
