Legacy Giving Program

The Nicholas Gonzalez Foundation announces a special program that extends its resources to people who want to leave a legacy. Legacy Giving is a lifetime giving program that makes a difference in the lives of others while continuing your mission and principles in life. Your Legacy Giving Gift is targeted to advance the efforts that matter to YOU - whether it be cancer research or cancer prevention or wellness programs or nutritional education or new patient support services or another related program that is close to your heart. This is a special opportunity for you to have a lasting impact on the causes you care about and leave a meaningful legacy for future generations.
"In every single life you've touched is an unforgettable memory you can create for them."
If you would like to have a conversation about leaving a legacy, please contact Mary Beth Gonzalez at marybeth@nicholasgonzalezfoundation.com.
"Your Legacy is already within you, all you have to do is to show it and make a difference."

Interested in learning more about how Legacy Giving works?

1. Beneficiary Designation: Many people choose to leave a gift to charity by beneficiary designation to support causes that have been important in their life. A gift to the The Nicholas Gonzalez Foundation through a beneficiary designation in your retirement or other financial account may be the most advantageous gift you can make.
Beneficiary designations can provide a convenient and cost-effective charitable gift. If you're interested in helping secure our lifesaving mission through a charitable gift to our non-profit charity foundation, we're here to help.
2. Planned Giving: Planned Giving is a donor’s intention to contribute a planned gift to The Nicholas Gonzalez Foundation beyond their lifetime for a specific purpose. This is often a continuation of the donations an individual or couple has made while living, but on a larger scale. Unlike an annual gift, a planned gift is scheduled for the future – often as part of financial or estate plans. Typically donated through a will or trust, planned gifts are realized after a donor passes away.
It’s important to note that planned giving is not limited by your current wealth. Planned gifts are typically larger than lifetime donations because they can come from a variety of traditional and non-traditional assets at times not eligible for gifting during one’s lifetime, including life insurance policies, retirement assets, equity, or real estate holdings, rather than standard income.
This means even if you consistently contribute small gifts, your planned gift can be of a much greater value and impact.

Why is Legacy Giving so important?

Not only does legacy giving represent the opportunity to provide long-term support to your favorite organizations, but it also gives you a chance to establish a legacy. A planned gift aligns with your values and beliefs thus solidifying an impactful and lasting legacy for you.
Planned Giving provides an opportunity to leave a major gift that may not have been possible in your lifetime due to financial commitments. Charitable gifts are often exempt from estate tax, allowing more of the gift to go directly to the organization. You can avoid capital gains taxes when you transfer assets as part of a planned gift, maximizing the charitable contribution.
Please contact Mary Beth Gonzalez at marybeth@nicholasgonzalezfoundation.com if you would like to have a conversation about leaving a legacy.
